Now this is going to be really hard to write about as just disscussing the food in Hua Hin makes my stomach rumble. Once again a lot depends on budget, but in general food is very cheap, and of all the places I have eaten I have never been dissapointed. If I was staying where there was no breakfast included, I would get up in the morning jump in the shower then off to one of the many cafe's that serve a full cooked breakfast.Eggs bacon sausage with two coffee's would cost me about $3 Australian, what a great way to start the day. I never really eat much of a lunch, the breakfast would keep me going til dinner.Maybe some fresh fruit from the street sellers. Sometimes I would have a snack at what I call the bike kitchen's, thats the name I gave to the local's who ride around on their bike's and have a cooker on board, these guy's collect fresh fish and prawns in the mornings and cook them for you, mmmmmmmmm I am starting to dribble. My other option was to go to the 24/7 and have a coffee and pot noodles very very cheap!!. For the not so adventurous, you can eat at any time of the day in almost any of the hotels or restaurants, but the way I see it is your on holiday so why not try something different, I know some people suffer with what we call Bali belly, so I guess I am lucky in that respect I have never had a problem. Evenings I was faced with a huge problem, where will I eat tonight, sometimes I could'nt wait for the evening meal, knowing it was always going to be something special. One of my favourite spots was the restaurant's that are on the end of the jetties. The area is uncovered and above the ocean, which sort of make's it rather special. These place's have everything on the menu, but do specialise in the fantastic seafood, so fresh, you can actually pick out the fish or prawn or crab that you want and they just take it out of the tank and cook it for you. My favourite dish was a mild prawn curry, this was served up inside a coconut just lift the lid and inside was a mousse'e type curry and there were fifteen good sized prawns believe it or not, absoloutely delicious, and the cost........a mere $6. To sum up I would say that from the cheapest to the most expensive, the humble to the lavish, eating anywhere in Hua Hin will surely satisfy any hungry person.
